Job overview and responsibilities
The strategy analysts on the Network Planning team are responsible for developing and implementing network strategy and planning with the goal of maximizing profitability, schedule utility, and operational feasibility. They work on macro projects touching all hubs, as well as more in-depth hub-specific analyses. As part of this work, they present regularly to senior leadership. This role will also support the Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning in developing presentations and communications for internal and external audiences related to key network initiatives.
- Lead ad-hoc analyses on market profitability, route network, and growth opportunities
- Create presentations for senior leadership outlining strategic initiatives and market performance
- Support Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning in developing strategic, integrated, impactful and proactive communication plans for internal and external presentations, social media, and releases on key network initiatives
- Work with schedule publication, ops integration, marketing and other internal and external stakeholder groups on new route/schedule change roll out and announcements
- Represent United at industry conferences and external stakeholder meetings
Please note: This is a Chicago-based, hybrid position with an apx. 50-75 in office requirement.
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelors degree
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- 2-4 years professional work experience or one year of aircraft scheduling/planning
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Complex problem solving through independent critical thinking
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to craft compelling narratives with words and data
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $88,440.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
