Bookkeeper AP/AR Specialist

Job Description:

HQ Aero is hiring for a bookkeeper in Lexington, KY!

Job Description: The ideal candidate will have basic accounting knowledge, and be proficient in both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, such as :

Accounts Payable

Receive, review, and process vendor invoices
Verify invoice accuracy and proper approvals
Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
Schedule and process payments (check, ACH, wire, credit card)
Maintain vendor records and resolve billing discrepancies
Track payment due dates to avoid late fees
Reconcile vendor statements
Maintain AP aging reports
Assist with audit requests related to payable

Accounts Receivable

Create and issue customer invoices
Ensure accurate billing based on contracts or services rendered
Post customer payments and apply credits correctly
Monitor AR aging and follow up on pastdue accounts
Communicate with customers regarding billing questions
Resolve payment discrepancies and short pays
Maintain customer account records
Prepare AR reports and cash receipt summaries
Assist with collections as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years accounting experience(A/R / A/P)
Basic computer knowledge
Familiar with accounting software
Aviation industry knowledge a plus.

Education

Minimum of High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Must be fluent in English
