Kia ora!
After recently being voted as New Zealands most attractive employer, Air New Zealand is continually capturing the worlds attention for its great culture, outstanding customer service and innovations that are truly cutting edge.
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Properties & Infrastructure team as Facilities Contract Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between procurement and business operations, addressing and leading areas traditionally outside of the procurement scope where business units require specialised support. Specifically, you will support our Properties & Infrastructure (P&I) team, stepping into areas where the business should ideally self-serve but currently requires targeted procurement expertise to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
The role you will play:
- Partner closely with Air New Zealand’s Properties & Infrastructure and Procurement teams, offering supplier contract and commercial support to meet business objectives and adherence to Group Procurement Policy.
- Lead tactical supplier management activities and improving commercial relationships for a defined category and sub-category portfolio.
- Act as the key liaison, enabling the business to transition from contractor management to Full Time Equivalent (FTE) conversion where commercially justified.
- Build robust business cases to clearly justify commercial decisions that lie outside traditional procurement functions.
- Continuously enhance supplier management strategies and practices to ensure commercial value, operational efficiency, and safety.
Our ideal candidate:
- Demonstrated procurement, properties, or commercial experience, particularly in supplier management, stakeholder engagement, and developing robust business cases
- Strong analytical and strategic skills, capable of driving change and process improvement.
- A proven track record in facilitating and influencing positive business outcomes
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
This is an ideal opportunity for an innovative procurement, properties, or commercial professional who enjoys collaborating across teams and departments. You will be skilled at providing commercial guidance and confident in engaging with senior stakeholders.
