Part-Time Student Services Coordinator

The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA), a nationally recognized leader in aviation maintenance and electronics training since 1929, is seeking a Student Services Coordinator to support our Myrtle Beach, SC campus.

This dynamic role supports students throughout their educational journey—from financial aid assistance to career placement—while helping organize events and maintain compliance documentation. If youre detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about student success, we’d love to hear from you!

Schedule

Part Time 24-30 hours per week
7:30-2:30pm Tuesday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

Career Services Support

Assist students with resumes, job paperwork, and employment-related needs
Coordinate employer interviews and verify graduate employment for accreditation
Maintain alumni contact lists and follow-up communications
Organize career fairs, employer visits, and graduation events
Present in classrooms and liaise between students and employers

Student Support Services

Manage graduation logistics: caps/gowns, refreshments, programs, and gifts
Prepare data for regulatory reporting
Serve as a PSI Testing Center Proctor
Support various administrative projects and student events

Financial Aid Assistance

Help process student paperwork, including Veterans documentation
Assist with entrance/exit counseling
Handle South Carolina Works Program paperwork and tool orders

Skill and Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
1–2 years of administrative or customer service experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Attention to detail and a positive, professional demeanor
