Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (CFCM, CPCM, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in government contract administration, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex government contracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance.
- Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS) and government procurement processes, with the ability to interpret and apply them to complex contracts.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience in managing contracts teams, providing strategic direction, and mentoring junior staff.
- Risk Management: Extensive experience in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks in government contracts, including financial, performance, and schedule risks.
- Negotiation Skills: Expertise in leading high-stakes contract negotiations, including complex terms and conditions, change orders, and pricing adjustments. Skilled in resolving conflicts and finding creative solutions.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership, clients, government agencies, and internal teams.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple, high-priority contracts simultaneously.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and contract management software (e.g., Deltek, SAP, Oracle). Familiarity with ERP systems and contract management tools is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or similar certifications are highly desirable.
- Clearance: Active security clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret), or the ability to obtain one if required.
- Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in government contracting industries such as defense, aerospace, information technology, healthcare, or infrastructure is a plus.
- Advanced Systems Knowledge: Experience with enterprise contract management systems and advanced reporting tools.
