BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support design, test and evaluation for aircraft communication systems. Will operate in an organizational culture that develops and challenges employees to achieve high performance in a fast-paced, high-morale workplace using streamlined engineering and management policies and procedures. Will provide direct support to a national security-critical system throughout engineering development, deployment, and sustainment and will help shape the quality and impact of Risk, Issue, and Opportunity processes and deliverables and other Program Management-related products from across the directorate and functional areas. Will help educate and equip the government customer to acquire, operate, and maintain an entire suite of communication systems and will become a trusted mission partner to the innovative, digital engineering-driven Naval Air Warfare Center organization that is responsible to design, build, test, transition, and sustain the worlds safest, most secure, and effective communication system, on-schedule. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Marys County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Job Requirements:
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering field
At least 6 years of progressive technical experience
Experience supporting engineering for NAVAIR Fixed Wing and/or Rotary Wing
Familiarity with program management principles, including cost, schedule, and performance assessment
Experience in digital engineering processes, building integrated DE toolsets and training DE workforce
Familiarity with systems engineering topics, including architecture development and requirements management, or willingness to learn Model Based Systems Engineering
Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work
Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills, briefing and providing reports to executive-level leader

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master's degree in engineering, computer science, software, or related technical field
2 years of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for Fixed Wing and/or Rotary Wing platforms
Familiarity with Data Analytics, Data Science, or Data Engineering, or willingness to learn enterprise-wide integration of analytical toolsets spanning business, technical, modeling/simulation, test, and sustainment focus-areas
Familiarity with software development and application integration, including knowledge of and practical experience implementing Agile methodologies
Experience with DoD acquisition programs
Experience leading successful teams in high tempo environment
Experience leading and/or facilitating multi-stakeholder groups

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
