Description: You will be the Infrared Sensor Systems Testing and Integration Engineer, supporting 4-5 major programs in production and 20+ programs in development stages. What You Will Be Doing
As the Infrared Sensor Systems Test and Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and testing infrared focal plane arrays, generating test plans, troubleshooting electronic test boards, and performing electronic design. You will work in a team environment to coordinate and direct test and systems related activities, and lead projects and mentor other engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Operating and testing infrared focal plane arrays and performing analysis on collected data
•Operating computer frame grabbers and test electronics
•Generating test plans and troubleshooting electronic test boards
•Performing electronic design and working in a team environment to coordinate and direct test and systems related activities
•Leading projects and mentoring other engineers
•Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and testing of infrared sensor systems

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2+ years work experience, or Masters degree in a STEM field with 0 years work experience
• Experience coding in a scripting language to include any of the following: MATLAB, C, C++, SQL, Java, HTML, or Python
• Hands on experience designing or testing in a laboratory setting (function generators, power supplies, temperature controllers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers)
Desired Skills:
• Experience with testing any variety of photo-detector products (Infrared, Visible, UV, Gamma, LIDAR, LADAR)
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
• Electronic troubleshooting of digital and analog electronics
• Focal plane manufacturing or testing experience
• Project Management experience (project planning; team leadership, or working with budgetary estimates

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
