Drive Aerospace Integrity as an Airworthiness & Regulatory EngineerPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer to lead high-impact investigations and drive solutions that directly safeguard aerospace product safety and regulatory compliance. In this critical role, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering excellence, compliance integrity, and operational safety — contributing to the trust placed in every aircraft we help build.
What You’ll Do:Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations related to regulatory compliance and airworthiness issues using structured methodologies (e.g., aerospace Problem Solving Model)
Partner with engineering teams across Systems, Structures, Payloads, and Propulsion to identify systemic root causes, develop containment strategies, and implement corrective actions
Interface with FAA representatives, suppliers, functional leaders, and regulatory experts to align investigations and corrective actions
Prepare investigation documentation that meets FAA and ODA standards, supporting Part 25 compliance requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening investigative processes and compliance frameworks
Serve as a trusted resource to both technical teams and executive leadership, translating complex findings into actionable plans
Who You Are:Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
9+ years of relevant experience in aerospace, regulatory compliance, certification, or related engineering fields
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and guide technical investigations independently
Capable of collaborating with senior leadership and regulatory bodies
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with RCCA tools such as 5-Whys, Fishbone, or BPSM
Familiarity with FAA Regulatory Compliance, ODA procedures (8100.15), and commercial airplane certification processes
Experience working with FAA or other regulatory authorities
Background in aircraft systems design or analysis (Flight Controls, Avionics, Hydraulics, etc.)
Pilot’s license or A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) License

Pay Details: $66.34 per hour
