Job Title: Materials SpecialistJob Description
As a Materials Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving, binning, shipping, and issuing materials and aircraft parts. You will create Repair Orders for unserviceable parts as directed by the Repairs Department and current contracts, ensuring parts and materials are available for the daily maintenance workload. You will process both serviceable and unserviceable aircraft part returns as needed. Additionally, you will perform receiving inspection functions on behalf of Quality Control under the oversight of the Material Manager. You will also execute monthly and weekly tasks, including Calibration & Shelf-Life review and Cycle/Inventory counts. Utilizing the computer system to maintain and update inventory timely will be an essential part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Receive, bin, ship, and issue materials and aircraft parts.
- Create Repair Orders for unserviceable parts.
- Ensure availability of parts and materials for daily maintenance workload.
- Process returns for serviceable and unserviceable aircraft parts.
- Perform receiving inspection functions under Quality Control oversight.
- Execute monthly and weekly tasks such as Calibration & Shelf-Life review and Cycle/Inventory counts.
- Utilize computer systems to maintain and update inventory.
- Monitor shipping and station supplies, advising on shortages and requirements.
- Coordinate with Materials for parts required for maintenance tasks.
Essential Skills- Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license.
- Experience with Traxx and inventory management software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Inventory or stock room background is highly preferred.
- Aviation background and knowledge of aircraft parts would be a bonus.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
