Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector who will report to the team leader in an office/shipping environment. This role involves completing First Article Inspections and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of reports, operating within a Quality Management System, and communicating effectively with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Report daily to the team leader in an office/shipping environment.
• Complete First Article Inspections and ensure reports are accurate and complete.
• Generate FAI reports and liaise with suppliers to correct any discrepancies.
• Operate within the clients Quality Management System (QMS).
• Communicate with suppliers to determine the best course of action for dealing with escapements.
• Adhere to SQA/Client policies.

• Experience in inspection and quality control, particularly in the aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of AS9100 standards, GD&T, and first article inspection processes.
• Familiarity with quality assurance tools such as calipers, blueprints, and micrometers.
• Experience with AS9102 Forms 1, 2, and 3.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Fluent in reading and writing English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and adherence to inspection plans and protocols.
• Experience with Notices of Escapement.
• Ability to sit and stand for 8 hours within an office and packaging environment.

The role is based on-site at a very nice facility in Hialeah, offering a pleasant work environment. Employees receive a 70 cent per mile reimbursement for their commute.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a climate-controlled distribution center, with hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a position based out of Hialeah Gardens, Florida.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
