Responsibilities
Make and re-grind tooling to close tolerances used on machines throughout the operation. Rework gauges and gauge plugs. Check vendor tooling on a limited basis, repair fixtures, jigs and tools utilizing complex prints and interface with engineering. Required to visit shop floor and troubleshoot. Must requisition supplies.
Works independently. Selects materials, standards and methods to be used. Knowledge of the general production system is a must. In the absence of specifications or design detail must proceed from own conception. Trains others and assigns work. Maintain neat, clean area. Must maintain the highest degree of quality, safety, cost reduction and customer service continuously.
Performs these duties and others as requested.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
