Job Description

This role focuses on performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on corporate aircraft, with an emphasis on Falcon models, at a busy airport-based maintenance facility. The Aircraft Mechanic will conduct post-flight inspections, troubleshoot airframe, engine, avionics, and related components, and ensure all work follows applicable manuals and regulatory standards. This position is based at Morristown Airport and is best suited for candidates within a reasonable driving distance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on corporate aircraft, primarily Falcon models, in accordance with approved maintenance manuals and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough post-flight inspections to identify and address any discrepancies or maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair airframe systems, engines, and associated components to ensure safe and reliable aircraft operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve avionics issues using appropriate troubleshooting techniques and documentation.
  • Review and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to perform accurate and compliant maintenance.
  • Document all maintenance actions, inspections, and repairs clearly and accurately in maintenance records.
  • Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working in and around aircraft and ground support equipment.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to prioritize tasks and ensure aircraft are returned to service on schedule.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and serviceable condition.
Essential Skills
  • Active Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience on corporate jets or regional aircraft.
  • Strong hands-on aircraft maintenance experience with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills on airframe, engine, and aircraft systems.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply information from aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
  • Experience performing post-flight inspections and routine scheduled maintenance.
  • Basic avionics troubleshooting capability.
  • Ability to commute to Morristown Airport on a daily basis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience working on Falcon aircraft is highly desirable but not required.
  • Experience with corporate aircraft maintenance environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Solid organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and leadership.
  • Willingness to grow technical expertise across different corporate and regional aircraft types.

Work Environment

The hangar environment includes regular interaction with aircraft, ground support equipment, and maintenance tooling, requiring consistent adherence to safety procedures. The typical dress code consists of a T-shirt, work pants, and steel-toe boots, suitable for a hands-on, technical maintenance setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
