Composite Technician is responsible for performing advanced composite assembly and repair work with a focus on safety, precision, and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute modification and repair of composite structures.
Perform precise trimming, drilling, and finishing of composite parts and assemblies.
Assemble components using layup, bonding, and fastener applications.
Conduct surface preparation using hand and power abrasion techniques.
Fabricate laminate assemblies per process specifications.
Prepare parts for curing processes, including bagging and placement of materials.
Mix adhesives accurately per manufacturing specifications.
Perform dimensional calculations and part layout for material placement.
Use tools such as calipers, micrometers, precision scales, and torque wrenches.
Conduct close-tolerance scarf repairs.
Document work accurately and complete task sign-offs per company procedures.
Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and project goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Minimum 2 years of experience with carbon fiber and fiberglass composite materials and processes.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid passport and ability to obtain a driver’s license.
Familiarity with industry standards for composite materials and assemblies.
