The Pratt & Whitney Heavy Maintenance Team provides detailed training at the PW Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Network of shops. Including, assembly, disassembly of the GTF engine line to the piece part level. Due to the growth of the PW GTF fleet we have an exciting opportunity to join this team. The members of this team have high visibility roles and are able to use highly technical skills gained through out their career to support the future of flight.
What You Will Do:
Instruct commercial engine heavy maintenance (B1/B2/B3 Level) training, including Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) Programs, to internal P&W customers and external MRO customers on-site at the customers worldwide locations. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to, GTF heavy maintenance training, engine specific familiarization training, line & base maintenance, jet engine fundamentals, borescope, engine change, FOD, and human factors training.
Support the commercial training team as a subject matter expert (SME) and act in the capacity as back-up instructor for specifically selected P&W engine models.
Additional responsibilities include designing courseware in accordance with the Pratt & Whitney Customer Training Center (CTC) Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Process, evaluating course material for content and accuracy, and recording quality escapes to support continuous improvement requirements. The elected candidate will also be responsible for fielding customer requests and directing customers to appropriate P&W support personnel.
Travel to domestic and international MRO sites up to 20 annually in 2-3 intervals.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors Degree and 5 years of aviation heavy maintenance experience, experience reading and interpreting aviation technical publications, familiar using heavy maintenance tooling; or Associates or Technical Degree and 7 years of aviation heavy maintenance experience, experience reading and interpreting aviation technical publications
Qualifications We Prefer:
Human factors experience
Jet engine trouble shooting experience
Experience working cross culturally.
Ability to work to tight deadlines independently
Experience communicating verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
