Job Summary
Manager Building Maintenance maintains municipal buildings, equipment and property and provides direction and monitors full time Building Maintenance person and/or seasonal workers. They perform remodeling and new construction tasks including plumbing, electrical and mechanical utilities.
The expected pay rate is $80,000/yearly. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.
Your activities
- Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage
- Replaces light bulbs and repairs light fixtures as needed
- Changes furnace and air conditioner filters and belts; oils furnace and air conditioner motors quarterly
- Prepares work orders after finishing each job; prepares maintenance schedules
- Purchases minor tools and materials necessary for work orders
- Provides direction and monitors daily tasks and periodically assigns work performed by seasonal workers and vendors providing performance feedback to General Manager about the work performed
- Performs major and minor remodeling tasks including painting walls, Drywall repair, Dock Door Repair and Dock leveler Preventative Maintenance
- Performs repairs on masonry and flooring
- Performs plumbing repairs
- Keeps Maintenance shop adequately stocked with tools and supplies
- Removes snow from walks using snow blower, broom, or shovel and salts walkways when assigned
- Assists meter maintenance crew with collection activities as assigned
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Your profile
- Valid drivers license
- Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system and the mechanisms of a diesel engine
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
- Have certification of completion in one of the following trades: Heavy duty/Commercial or Automotive mechanic license. Certification must be kept in good standing
- Knowledge of computer maintenance program, Maximo and Microsoft Office
- Good oral and verbal communication skills
- Willing to travel when necessary for training or to assist other SP stations with GSE needs as required
