Senior Manager Technical Operations 

Based in Budapest 

Purpose of the position:

To lead maintenance operations and Short Term Planning functions within Wizz Air Aviation Services CAMO organization, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and strategic alignment. The Senior Manager Technical Operations drives performance, supplier oversight, and continuous improvement while supporting cross-functional collaboration, cost control, and the safe, efficient execution of technical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all maintenance carried out on Wizz Air Aviation Services contracted AOCs is completed in accordance with all applicable regulator requirements and company policies, procedures and standards
• Provide leadership to Maintenance Operation Center and Short term planning team
• Provide reporting of established KPIs to nominated person of contracted AOCs
• Oversee the review of maintenance delays, aircraft system problems to suggest improvements within maintenance procedures to achieve higher reliability
• Continuous review of the overall maintenance and planning team performance to assure maximum safety, operating efficiency and effectiveness.
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments and report about Technical Operation budget deviations
• Develop solutions to enhance department processes and procedures with necessary implementation of the changes
• Represent Technical Operation as contact for sourcing and improvement projects
• Management and monitoring of maintenance provider’s performance
• Develop standards among contracted Line maintenance suppliers and ensure the criteria of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are met
• Plan, direct, control, and monitor all aircraft Line maintenance contracted MROs to ensure satisfactory completion planned and assigned scheduled and unscheduled tasks
• Support Head of Technical Services in day by day Operations activities
• Direct involvement in management, invoice verification and cost control of the assigned budget.
• Advise other departments on maintenance related queries
• Follow applicable requirements of Safety Management System iaw. Sec. 4 of OMM

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-7+ overall work experience of which 4 years should be from the aviation industry in an appropriate position
• 2 years management experience
• Previous experience within Part 145, Part CAMO and EU-OPS approved organization
• Thorough knowledge of CAMO, Part 145 regulation, procedures, and relevant parts of operational requirements and procedures;
• Type Training (Level III) on A320 or similar a/c type 
• Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, including 1321/2014 and its amendments
• Bachelor’s (Technical University or Technical Institute) as minimum education level
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of efficiently addressing and resolving issues.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Can-do attitude, with a focus on solutions and opportunities.
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments, thriving under pressure and managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Collaboration and teamwork, working effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
