Summary:
Work in a clean, air-conditioned composite manufacturing facility producing high-performance components from carbon fiber, fiberglass, and Kevlar.
This role is ideal for experienced craftspeople who want to apply and grow their skills in a dynamic aerospace environment.
Contribute to the production of composite parts from raw materials, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and precision.
This is not a machine maintenance position-its a hands-on, build-focused role with room to advance.
Interpret and follow Manufacturing and Inspection Procedures (MIPs), Work Orders, and specifications
Convert raw materials into precision composite components and assemblies
Mix and catalyze resins, paints, and finishes using basic math
Follow safety and ergonomic practices, including correct PPE usage and OSHA/EPA compliance
Maintain a clean, organized 5S workspace and contribute to a zero-defect, right-the-first-time culture
Inspect work for defects or non-conformances and resolve as necessary
Complete all documentation accurately and on time
Collaborate with team members and support training efforts
Assist with design/fabrication of shipping crates and packaging as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic math, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Understanding of basic tools and willingness to learn proprietary processes
Strong character and personal accountability for quality and results
Positive, team-focused attitude and a drive to succeed
Leadership qualities, even without direct reports
Familiarity with 5S, AS9100, OSHA, EPA standards, and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Ability to recommend process or equipment improvements for safety, quality, or efficiency
First-shift schedule with potential for occasional extended hours or weekends
Exposure to industrial noise, sanding/fairing dust, and chemical substances
PPE and safety training are required and enforced
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
Two-year technical certificate
Experience in manufacturing, crafts, or related field
Industrial certifications in composites or related areas
Basic computer skills (additional training provided if needed)
Ability to interpret SDS, MIL-specs, and supplier documentation
