Role Introduction
Reports to : Director Customer Travel
To enable Customer Travel (CT) to be a digital leader by creating and managing a digital transformation roadmap and delivering relevant initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy and Transformation Roadmap
- Develop a CT digital strategy. Create and maintain a digital transformation roadmap with CT BUs, DGT and IT
- Facilitate the prioritization of department digital projects with reference to the strategic objectives of Customer Travel. Facilitate CT BUs to deliver these projects
- Identify cross-departmental synergies and lead these projects with CT BU SMEs to realize transformational changes and benefits
- Conduct the annual digital maturity assessment for CT to evaluate the progress of digital transformation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Analytics and Insights
- Identify business opportunities that generate actionable insights for CT BUs from collecting new sources of data or utilizing unused data in the organization
- Review current analytics practices and tools to continuously improve their efficacy
Thought Leadership and Advisory
- Be the CT Thought Leader in digital technologies. Represent and promote Cathay CT’s efforts in driving digital transformation at external events
- Proactively understand DGT’s latest capabilities and tools to propose experiments and application in CT BUs. Facilitate discussion and resolution of issues with DGT
Culture and Change
- Inspire a strong data-driven, digital and innovation culture in CT
- Accelerate change by facilitating our people to obtain relevant tools, skills and mindset
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in travel, digital transformation, or customer experience domains
- 8+ years of leadership experience in the aviation industry
- Expertise in Customer & Commercial departments or IT & Digital departments is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Data Science, Aviation Management, or Digital Transformation
- Strategic thinking and ability to comprehend the big picture
- Innovative mindset with proven ability to challenge the status quo
- Complex project management and change management experience. PMP and LEAN certification is a plus
- Understanding of the latest digital technology landscape, trends and tools
- Communications, stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Cross-functional team player strong at collaboration and inspire trust
